Agency Guide Book (FAQ)

1. Why should I refill my ink/toner cartridges?
Refilling means recycling your cartridges. Through refilling you can take advantage of the extended life of the print head.
Refilling your cartridges is good for the environment and lets you enjoy tremendous savings on your total cartridge expenditure.
2. What is the meaning of Genuine (O.E.M.) cartridge, Compatible cartridge and Remanufactured      cartridge?
OEM Cartridges : OEM is an abbreviation for Original Equipment Manufacturer.
These manufacturers produce the replacement ink or toner for copiers or printers and normally will put the manufacturer's name on the product, such as HP, Canon, IBM, Sharp, Lexmark, Brother, Epson, etc.
Dr. Ink sells only Remanufactured and Compatible cartridges for HP, Lexmark, Canon, Epson for inkjet and many more cartridges for toner. We do not sell OEM cartridges.
All brand names and trademarks are the property of their respective holders and while we make reference to brand name merchandise we are in no way endorsed by or associated with these companies.

Compatible Cartridges: Generic cartridges are specially manufactured to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and high standards of quality and reliability and offer high-quality printing results.
Manufactured 100% brand new, containing only new components, they are an economical alternative to expensive name-brand cartridges and supplies, and allow for big savings over brand-name cartridges and supplies. We only sell Epson compatible inkjet cartridges and Canon compatible inkjet cartridges.

Remanufactured Cartridges: Remanufactured cartridges have been recycled to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.
The recycling and reprocessing process involves disassembling, inspecting, cleaning, replacing worn parts, reassembling, and filling the toner or ink. Once the remanufacturing process is complete, the cartridge is then print tested, sealed, and packaged for resale.
We only sell HP remanufactured ink cartridges, Lexmark remanufactured ink cartridges, Canon remanufactured inkjet cartridges and many more toner cartridges.

3. Will using refilled cartridges void the manufacturers warranty?
It is your right to choose the brand of toner or ink for your printer.
Do not be intimidated. It is against Law (Trade Practices Act) if you are told:

¡°It will void your warranty if you don¡¯t use the printer manufacturer¡¯s cartridges.¡±

Warranty service can not be refused unless there is proof that alternative brand inks and toners have damaged the printer

¡°You won¡¯t be covered by warranty because you aren¡¯t using the printer manufacturer¡¯s cartridges¡±

Your warranty can not be voided

4. Is it possible for printer to be troubled by the refilling and compatible cartridges?
    What if it is happened?
The printer makers suggest not using other cartridges and other refill ink that could cause many troubles on your printer. However Dr. Ink has used premium quality ink. (*American ink jet Corp.-http://www.amjet.com)
The printer makers provide printers with comparably cheap price aiming to sell expensive cartridges with great margin.
For this reason, the printer makers have been trying to block the refilling and compatible cartridges. Refilled and Compatible cartridges never can be any direct factor in printer¡¯s trouble. The printer makers have already known about it. However they worry about the decrease of using original cartridges and their profit due to the Refilled and Compatible cartridges. Some printer makers reject even customer service for troubled printers owing to the using the Refilled and compatible cartridges. Although the reason is not on it obviously, they keep insisting the reason is on it. Dr. Ink guarantees you the fast customer service for the trouble that happened while using Dr. Ink products.
If you find any trouble while using Dr. Ink product, please contact Dr. Ink customer service center on 1300 733 412. We will fix for that without any loss of you.
5. What if I am unhappy with my refilling or purchasing?
If you are dissatisfied with the results of any of our refilled cartridges, please return the cartridge together with receipt of purchase to the Dr. ink Agency where purchased.
Dr. Ink will either repair the faulty cartridge, credit the full amount against a new cartridge or provide a full refund in exchange for the faulty cartridge.
If a defect in refilled cartridge causes a machine to fail, Dr. Ink will reimburse the customer for the full amount of the repair charge.
This warranty is dependent upon the customer providing Dr. Ink with satisfactory evidence that the machine's failure was due to a defect in the Refilled, Compatible or Remanufactured cartridge, including a written statement from an authorised service company, stating the reason for failure. This statement must be on authorized company letterhead, and dated and signed by the company's field or service representative.

7. Is there any advice to keep cartridge well for perfect refilling?
If you keep ordering for printing even though the ink is completely out or if the cartridge is out-located from printer for a long time, the hardened ink would block the nozzle and to reuse the cartridge will not be possible in the worst case.
The perfect readiness for refilling is to refill on a normally using cartridge before completely emptied. Especially, you have to be more cautious for color cartridges.
If you keep printing when one of any color is empty, the inside sponge would be contaminated by other color¡¯s infusion. You should refill immediately when find one of any color is empty or it makes a line due to lack of ink.
If you separate a cartridge from printer for refilling, you should be careful not to damage on the electronic unit of cartridge.
8. The common reason for damage to the printer nozzle
  - The printer was forced to print without ink.
- The printer was not used for a long time resulting in a clogged nozzle.
- The nozzle is not getting an electric signal due to moisture or damage to the printer head.
- There is other damage to the printer head or jetting point.
- The printing paper is bad.
9. How much money will I save by refilling?
The savings will change depending on which printer you own. As a rule of thumb, you can expect refills to be about 40% of the cost of a new cartridge.
10. How many times can I refill the original cartridge?
You can refill until your cartridges wear out. In general, you can refill approximately
6-9 times depending on how well you maintain the cartridge.
(Refer to our ¡®How to handle cartridges¡¯ on the collecting envelope)
11. How can you afford to charge such low prices?
We deal in volume. We would rather make a little bit of money from each customer refilling or selling more than a lot of money from a few customers refilling or selling fewer cartridges. Word of mouth is our best advertising.
If we save you a ton of money and offer great service you're most likely to tell someone else.
12. How long will it take for my inkjet cartridges to be refilled?
That depends upon where you are located. We normally collect cartridges and return them same day.
All orders received by 09:00 AM are in preparation for being returned by 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Otherwise, the rest can be picked up the afternoon of next working day.
If for any reason the cartridge does not work properly, there is no charge.
We offer you same day service, when possible.
13. After refilling, why does the cartridge indicator still show that it is not full?
HP #40 and HP #45 cartridges use a green indicator on the side to indicate how much ink is left. This green indicator moves out of view when the cartridge is empty and may not reappear after refilling. This is due to the way that the indicator is made. However, you can tell that the cartridge is full by its weight.
After refilling, the cartridge will be noticeably heavier than when it was empty.
14. Will I get the standard number of printed pages from your cartridges?
We guarantee you will get at least the same number of printed pages from our inkjet cartridges as you will get from an OEM ink/toner cartridge.
Our customers are reporting many, many more pages of printer per cartridge over their OEM ink/toner cartridges
